Today I thought I would share with you the books I have recently added to my TBR List. You'll find that most of the books on my list are of the personal growth and self development section.
Note | for anyone who may not know, TBR stands for To Be Read
This is because it is my year of reconnection and growth. The overall goal for the year is to reconnect with friends, family and myself. I have felt so disconnected and lonely for the past few years.
When I stopped making time for myself, I stopped being me and day by day I disappeared. This year I am going to do everything I can to find me and enjoy life once more.
Let's get right to the latest books on my TBR List
The Art of Asking | Amanda Palmer
I have struggled my entire life with the ability to ask for help. I don't know if it's the fear of 'No' or the embarrassment of not being able to do something on my own. What ever the case is, I want to work on improving this aspect of my life.
Furiously Happy | Jenny Lawson
Honestly the title and cover are the main reasons for choosing to add this one to my list. I think this would be an interesting read and hopefully I can learn to "embrace the joy" and accept myself.
I will update you on this one, only time will tell if this was worth being on my list.
You Are a Badass | Jen Sincero
Because who wouldn't like a little boost to help us achieve the awesome life we all deserve. I admit this title also caught my attention and I hope that it lives up to all the hype and praise I have read around the web for this read.
You Are Good at Things | Andy Selsberg
Okay this may not be a book to read per se. I wanted to include this book because I like list making and sometimes I just need a list of things I'm good at. I am looking forward to reading what sort of things are on the lists in this book.
The 4 Hour Work Week | Timothy Ferris
I have been interested in F.I.R.E (financial independence retire early) since before there was an acronym for it. However in my case I think F.I.O.R (financial independence optional retirement) would suit me better. I like the idea of working for knowledge and gaining skills as opposed to working for a payslip. I am working my way towards creating an income and lifestyle that are locationally independent.
And finally, the book that has been on the TBR list the longest
Book Three, The Kingkiller Chronicles | Patrick Rothfuss
Oh how I long to read this book dear Mr Rothfuss. It certainly has been a long long awaited book on my list. I am sure I will read it one day, as they say, good books take time. In the meantime I will resort to reading the first two books over and over until the day I finally get to hold this long awaited book.

How To Blog For Profit Without Selling Your Soul
I have just received this book and I am looking forward to learning how to blog better. I really enjoy that blogging combines my old hobbies of reading, drawing and creating. If I could do this full time it would be a dream come true.
Have you read any of these books? Tell me in the comments!
